Welcome back bloggers. When we went outside we had to get the skateboards and put our helmets on our head. When we were done we lined up on the line and waited for him to tell us when to go. We were riding around getting warmed up and ready to skate. When he told us to go a lot of people got used to skateboarding already because of how many lessons we have had. We were riding and balancing and the same time with our leg up. When everyone got used to balancing and doing some tricks I finally succeeded and was riding and doing tricks at the same time. I was riding but all of a sudden I fell off and hit the side of my jaw on the metal thing on the field. I had to go up to the office and get an ice pack on my face but I stilled enjoyed it when I went back. I really enjoyed skateboarding maybe I should be more careful. Blog you later!!!

welcome back bloggers. all of the year sixes in waikowhai primary school went down to Waikowhai intermediate to meet their new teachers and classes that we are going to be in in 2021 next year. All the year sixes had to be dropped off to Waikowhai intermediate so we can know what class we are in and what teacher we have. When you were dropped off and you went into the hall you had to wait for everyone to come in. When Mr King walked on the staged he started talking about what was going to happen. Your name was called for what class you were in. I was in room 9 with Mrs Berry she is a very nice and kind teacher and she loves traveling and likes to go to the beach. We had to color in a room nine picture and decorate it as well. She told us what happens in her class. I was very happy when she said we have no homework but we have math buddy witch I prefer. I really enjoyed visiting Waikowhai intermediate. Im looking forward to 2021 and my new class. Blog you later!!!.

Skateboarding

 Skateboarding

This friday we did skateboarding. Skateboarding is very enjoyable sport because you get to ride on wheels and also learn new skills. When we went outside there was two people that was going to guide us their names were Ben and Lawrence, they were talking to us about it and they said what was going to happen when we split up in groups. First we got a skateboard and a helmet.

 We lined up on the line and waited for him to tell us when to go. When he told us to go a lot of people didn't know how to ride and balance and that was me and some other people. When I got used to balancing I finally succeeded and was riding everywhere. I was riding but all of a sudden a I fell off and scraped my knee. 

Ben helped me up and asked if I was okay and I was holding in the pain because I didn't wanna cry in front of them. When he told me to take a break then come in when I had to sit on the bench. A few minutes later I went back in and I was still having fun even though I had a scraped knee. We learnt how to crab walk you had to put each foot on each side of the skateboard then use force to walk. 

At the end we played a game called whats the time Mr Wolf but skateboard edition. Frist the wolf was Lawrence. He taught us how to play. It was just like the normal one but when the wolf turned around you have to pick up you board and dont move all rust you have to go back four steps. I really enjoyed skateboarding and looking forward to next weeks one too. Blog you later!!!.

Production

Jasmine and Aladdin 2020 Production.

 Hello and welcome back to my blog. During last week and the other weeks. We have been practicing from the production called Jasmine and Aladdin. There was the cast and the dancing group in the seniors. First off we made some dance moves up then made more and more and then put it together.  

The cast was practicing and practicing until they all got theirs rolls together. We made some new props for the background of the show. On monday last week we walked down to the intermediate but first in the morning we helped the teachers put some props in the trailer so it could go down with the car. 

I really enjoyed walking down to Waikowhai Intermediate with my friends and talking on the way. When we got down to the school we were preparing for the show in 2 days we needed all the help from the students  We got everything ready and we were ready to perform in front of the audience. 

There were some negative things that happened the negative things that happened was when we went down to the intermediate dress rehearsals it was very hot and also the bell kept on interfering. There weren't that many tickets, all of the shows sold out. We had to walk down to Waikowhai Intermediate and back to our own school and it was very tiring. And also on the second show there wasn't that much people cheering.

I am relieved that the production is over because I couldn't stop getting nervous. And whenever people were cheering for me and the other dancers I got even more nervous when they were. But then when I was with all my friends I stopped being shy because they're
here with me. I really enjoyed dancing in front of family and friends. I really enjoyed the

Tongan Tapa cloths

Tongan Tapa cloths

Welcome back bloggers. Last week we started Tapa cloths because of Tongan language week. If you dont know what a Tapa cloth is its a very well known a gift that Tongans give to each other. They usually give it for a gift for peoples birthday or they use it to wear it. They wear it with other Tongan cloths as well. First we started in our art books we also had to look up some Tongan Tapa patterns. After we got all the patterns and we knew what we were going to draw. Second we started on a piece of paper square and then we had to draw our patterns on that paper. When you were finish you had to go over the pencil with felt tip. After we dyed there was all sorts of colors. I really enjoyed the Tongan Tapa cloths. Blog you later!!!.

Tongan Language week

 Tongan Language week

Welcome back bloggers this week is Tongan Language Week and have been doing some activities we watched some videos. We were also listening to Tongan songs some to the people that are Tongan. And every morning we listen to Tongan songs and videos. On Monday the first day of Tongan language week. We asked the teachers if we could wear our Tongan clothes. And they said yes but only on Friday. So todays Friday and in the morning we came to school with our Tongans clothes on and me and my friends were very proud of our culture. When we went into class the Teachers took the roll. Then we all gathered into Hauraki. We played a kahoot and I came first my friend Freddy came second and Sema came third we also had to introduce our clothes names but in Tongan. After that at lunch me and my friends had a shared lunch. We had Lue and Keke Isite. I really enjoyed Tongan Language Week. Blog you later!!!.
